Your Role

Markets: Atlantic provinces, Lower St. Lawrence, Gaspé–Magdalen Islands, North Shore.

As the Manager, Community Experiences and Partnerships, you will lead initiatives that drive our mission forward in alignment with corporate objectives and priorities.

The following is an overview of your key responsibilities:

  • Alignment With Mission, Vision and Values

    Ensure that community events and partnerships align with the mission, vision and values of the Community Experiences and Partnerships team.

  • Strategic Planning

    Define the strategy, lead annual planning and develop brand activation plans for community events and partnerships.

    Develop community events and partnerships as well as brand activations and related content, both internally and externally.

    Lead internal and external communications activities across regional centres.

    Track and monitor performance goals for every activity and partnership.

  • Metrics (KPIs) and Impact Analysis

    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of community events and partnerships, and conduct in-depth analysis to optimize results.

  • Representation and Negotiation

    Actively represent the Corporation’s interests in community and partnership initiatives, and negotiate strategic agreements with various partners.

  • Resource Management (Human, Financial and Production)

    Effectively supervise the teams involved in community events and partnerships, and manage allocated financial resources.

    Maintain and update price lists, co-ordinating with relevant departments as needed.

    Develop and negotiate agreements with suppliers and external contributors.

    Oversee the management of production and event spaces under your responsibility. Liaise with the production team to ensure optimal technical setups.

  • Event Supervision

    Oversee the development and execution of community events and partnerships as well as brand outreach activities.

    Act as a point person in your area of expertise for internal and external resources.

    Plan and deliver training for brand ambassadors.

    Execute activities and supervise the work of brand ambassadors on-site.

    Discuss issues with project participants, recommend alternatives and report on project progress.

  • Interdepartmental Relationships

    Build and maintain productive relationships with other Corporation departments.

    Establish standards and advise other departments on best practices for public-facing partnerships and activities.

    Collaborate with producers and programming teams to fulfil brand ambassador requirements for shows.

    Act as a liaison between corporate departments and external partners.

    Co-ordinate with other Marketing & Communications teams on media and visibility plans.

  • Corporate Positioning

    Strengthen the Corporation’s positioning as a champion of Canadian culture, democracy and community life through community experiences and partnerships.

    Travel to the served regions as required.

  • Internal and External Communications

    Manage issues.

    Serve as an official spokesperson.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.

  • Six (6) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience in a marketing communications role.

  • Strong track record in developing and executing strategic marketing and communications plans.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of media and public relations, partnership negotiations and experiential marketing, as well as experience organizing community events.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and studies, including sociodemographic data.

  • Proven leadership experience, with a focus on fostering team growth and individual development, motivating and guiding teams toward their objectives and driving collective success.

  • Innovative and creative flair with the ability to launch, direct and engage audiences.

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Strong persuasive communication and storytelling skills.

  • Good writing and editorial skills.

  • Deep understanding of the public broadcaster’s role and function.

  • In-depth knowledge of the regions served (demographics, politics, arts and entertainment, etc.).

  • Good knowledge of Google Workspace.

  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written).
