Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with strong hands-on experience operating manual machines such as milling machines, lathes, and drill presses. The ideal candidate will have their own tools and gauges and be capable of producing high-quality parts with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and drill presses
Set up machines and perform machining operations according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Measure and inspect parts using precision gauges and tools
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part accuracy
Perform basic machine maintenance and adjustments
Ensure all work meets quality standards
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Work independently to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
Experience with manual machining (milling, lathe, drilling)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Must have own tools and measuring gauges
Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances
High attention to detail and precision
Ability to work afternoon shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with custom machining or small-batch production
Knowledge of different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills
