Welcome to Cascades!

We are hiring General Labourers in Vaughan to support our round-the-clock 24/7 operations. To accelerate the hiring process, an interview day will be held on July 28. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to complete interviews and pre-employment requirements in a single day.

What you’ll do

As a General Labourer, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day:

  • Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and production line operations.
  • Set feed guides, pressure rolls, gauge belts, and clear machine jam-ups as needed.
  • Perform material handling tasks and manually feed stock into machines to maintain continuous operation.
  • Print load tags and prepare, process, or close production orders.
  • Conduct quality checks on products and identify defects such as de-lamination or off-register issues.
  • Communicate machine, quality, equipment, or production issues to operators or supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping, 5S, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Availability to attend an on-site interview in person on July 28 and complete any follow-up steps.

Your strengths as a General Labourer

You are a natural fit for this role if you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • 1 year of manufacturing or production environment experience (preferred).
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, computer skills, and ability to follow written/verbal instructions and measurements.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with quality assurance and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain professionalism while following safety standards and company values.
