Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Analyze equipment performance, failure trends, and maintenance data to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Define and monitor key maintenance KPIs (., uptime, MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance) to drive performance improvements
  • Maintain and enhance CMMS data integrity, including asset hierarchies, maintenance histories, and work order quality
  • Develop standardized maintenance procedures, job plans, and asset care strategies in collaboration with maintenance teams and OEMs
  • Support and lead root-cause analysis investigations (RCA) for critical equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Collaborate with operations to align maintenance planning with production requirements while minimizing disruption
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting of complex mechanical and process-related issues
  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of capital and equipment upgrade projects with a focus on maintainability and lifecycle cost
  • Work with suppliers and OEMs to optimize spare parts strategies, maintenance intervals, and equipment performance
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies (., TPM, RCM, Lean) to enhance maintenance effectiveness and asset reliability
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance within maintenance operations

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of maintenance and reliability methodologies (., RCM, TPM, condition-based monitoring)
  • Experience working with CMMS platforms for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with BIM tools (., Tekla Structures), simulation tools (., Siemens Technomatics), and MRP systems is an asset
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and OEM maintenance specifications

  • Previous experience or co-op placement in precast concrete or heavy manufacturing is considered an asset

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Experience developing and managing KPIs related to maintenance and operational performance
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

  • Ability to work effectively with a unionized, hourly workforce in a plant environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization
