The Payroll / HR Technician plays a key role in payroll and human resources management, ensuring the accuracy of payroll processes and supporting various aspects of HR.
This position is divided into two main parts : 60% of responsibilities are dedicated to payroll management and 40% to HR-related tasks.
The ideal candidate will have solid payroll experience in a unionized environment and be able to manage day-to-day HR interactions in a bilingual environment.

Responsibilities
Payroll management :
Administer payroll for 15 regular employees and 120 unionized employees in accordance with the current collective agreement.
Use Nethris software to process payroll accurately and on time.
Supervise employee timekeeping and manage the punching process.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding payroll and benefits.
Human Resources :
Participate in the recruitment, integration and training processes for new employees.
Manage employee files, including contracts, leave and absences.
Ensure implementation of company HR policies and provide support to employees on various HR issues.
Collaborate in the management of labor relations, particularly with unionized employees.
Qualifications
Bilingualism : Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken.
Experience : Proven experience in payroll and human resources management, ideally in a unionized environment.
Software : Proficiency in Nethris payroll software.
Interpersonal skills : Ability to manage employee relations and resolve problems proactively.
