We are currently looking for a Job Developer to join our team of committed professionals. This full-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Elm Street location in Sudbury.
Under the leadership of the Program Supervisor, the Job Developer liaises with local employers, both public and private sector, and participants from various programs and services to ensure optimum job placement results while maintaining YMCA values.
START DATE : As soon as possible
LOCATION : Sudbury, ON
RATE OF PAY : $49,455.04 per year
Major Responsibilities
- Promote YMCA service programs and clients directly to employers using a structured marketing approach (i.e. prospecting, needs analysis, selling, follow-up) via cold calls, appointments, personal contacts, networking, direct mail, and advertising.
- Working with the employment team, discuss possible referrals that identify a client’s abilities, transferable skills, and skill limits.
- Market clients based on their skills and abilities.
- Arrange job fairs, interviews, job trials, job placements, job shadows, and volunteer placements, as required.
- Develop training plans.
- Gather and share labour market trends and gaps.
- Develop new forms and materials as required.
- Compile monthly statistical information and forward it as required.
Qualifications
- College diploma or University degree in marketing, Business, Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing / sales of job development.
- Solid knowledge of community resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to research and develop workshops and community presentations.
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
