Job description

Responsibilities

Manage two small teams spanning Social capabilities and User Generated Experiences (Content services and Moderation).

Define a compelling strategy to advance UGX capabilities on and around our platform. To do this, you must understand diverse customer needs and internal product / service requirements, and balance both from a platform owner’s perspective.

Collaborate with engineering teams to shape the technical architecture and design decisions, ensuring the creation of scalable platform capabilities, and fundamentals.

Set clear objectives to align team members both internally and cross functionally to deliver high value outcomes

Use metrics and user feedback to guide ongoing innovation and refinement of Platform offerings

Skills / Requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree AND 10+ years experience in product management or equivalent

5+ years managing a team. Experience leading managers preferred.

Experience building products that involve large-scale platforms or ecosystems. At least 2+ years working with developer-facing products (e.g., developer tools, consoles, SDKs) in a product role.

Experience leading a product management team with responsibility over product strategy

Demonstrated results delivering large-scale enterprise solutions / services, including roadmap development, product launches, and driving innovation.

Platform mindset, with an understanding of microservices architecture, REST and gRPC APIs, cloud technologies and developer platforms.

Technical acumen to lead design and architecture discussions with engineering teams focusing on end-to-end scenarios.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) :

220,500 - $311,100 USD Annually

  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo) :
  • 198,100 - $311,100 USD Annually

  • Jersey City, NJ :
  • 243,200 - $311,100 USD Annually

  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs) :
  • 211,700 - $282,200 USD Annually

  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) :
  • 198,100 - $311,300 USD Annually

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) :
  • 193,600 - $271,700 CAN Annually

    Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical / dental / vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI / QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental / adoption leave), extended health / dental / vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
