Shipping Coordinator

Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada.

Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Shipping Coordinator at our 352 Arvin Ave.

Stoney Creek facility.

Job Summary & Reporting Structure :

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for daily shipping coordination. Coordinate activities, training and process improvement of the Shipping / Receiving Department and it's staff.

Ensure accurate and timely shipments to and from Customers and Suppliers. This includes working with a material handler to pick and label orders to customer specification, warehouse organization, receiving material, Inventory reconciliation and backing up Shipping Supervisor as required.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for picking, labeling and staging orders
• Ensure the correct part is shipped on time
• Send electronic ASNs on time
• Liase with customers, suppliers and logistics companies as required
• Cycle count finished goods and maintain accuracy
• Report discrepancies to appropriate departments
• Ensure warehouse is kept organized and tidy
• Back up Shipping Supervisor from time to time
• Rotating Shifts
• Support / Involvement in Physical Inventory
• Receive and validate incoming material
• Enter receipts on time in QAD
• Liase with Materials Coordinator on shipping requirements
• Oversee Care Operator and Dock drivers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Community College Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated working knowledge of MS office, QAD and asset
• Minimum 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience in a Just in Time environment an asset
