Purchasing Manager

Our client, an established electrical contractor, is currently seeking to hire a Purchasing Manager.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 direct reports and identifying opportunities of improvement in the end to end supply chain process. You will be responsible for overseeing purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, fleet etc. The Purchasing Manager will lead negotiations with vendors and build internal relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and improving gaps in existing procedures. Effective communication with on-site project managers to understand job specifications and engage the necessary suppliers is also essential.
The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Manager position should have over 7+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing Purchasing and other supply chain functions. A proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations is essential. A thorough understanding of purchasing in relation to project requirements is critical. Besides the necessary technical skills, exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities are also vital.
