Job description
Job Title: Class 1 DriverLocation: Moncton, NB (On‑site) Work Type: On-goingSalary: $0.50/mile. Single drop loads pay 50$, multi drop loads pay 30$ first drop and 17$ each additional. Hourly when applicable is 23$Vacancy: Existing vacancyOur client is hiring for their next Class 1 Driver to start work immediately in the Moncton, NB area! This is a great company to join and there are many career opportunities for the right candidate. *Please note that the facility is not accessible by public transit, so you need to have a car or your own transportation. *What You'll Do
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Completing a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems
  • Complying with company and government regulations and rules
  • Securing cargo and dealing with hazardous materials safely, as needed
  • Communicating with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers
  • Paying for goods and receiving payments from clients
  • Performing emergency repairs like patching tires when needed
  • Ensure yard is clean and operated in a safe manner.
  • Assist on Dock regularly
  • Moving and handling freight in a dock environment (50-75 lbs)
  • Report any incidents of safety violation or security breaches
  • Other related duties as may be required
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience of Class 1 vehicles is required
  • Valid Class 1 License with clean CVOR and Abstract
  • Clean criminal background
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Self-motivated and safety-minded
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work deadlines in high transactional environment
  • Fluent in English, other languages considered an asset
Benefits & Environment
  • Monday to Friday, night shift – 6pm start time, 40 to 60 hours a week, ongoing position
  • Free WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training
  • Weekly pay – every Friday
