Summary :
Reporting directly to the System Team Lead. This SeniorSystem Admin is responsible for the overall technical managementoperations ongoing
maintenance and support ofour largescale production websites and networks.
Role :
oManagement and support of LAMP environment
oMaintain vendor relationships as required for technicalinfrastructure of office and website systems.
oWork directly with the Development Team Leads and ProjectManagement in managing projects for the website and provide finalsignoff / approval for release to production.
oWorking directly with Senior Management participate in planning andproject discussions for various websites.
oAnalyze and assess areas of risk to systems and recommend / implementchanges as appropriate to the business.
oContinuously assess network and systems security ensuring a highlevel of systems data security is maintained overall. Reportconcerns directly to the Senior System Team Lead
o Perform systems and network architectural design for thesites network including capacity planning hardware infrastructuresoftware integration OS and software performance tuning.
o Act as single point of escalation of production issuesinterfacing with required resources to see issues are resolved in atimely manner.
o Effectively manage riskincluding monitoring system redundancy and backups based onbusiness requirements and acceptable risk.
oProvide technical assistance and consultation as required to allareas of the company including Project Management Sales QualityAssurance Accounting Customer Service Development and Systemsdepartments.
o Perform special tasks andprojects companywide as assigned by the Team Lead.
Responsibilities :
o Managing a large dsitributed LAMPenvironment
o Facilitate problem solving andcollaboration ensure discussions and make decisions that leadtoward closure intervene when necessary to aid the team inresolving issues.
o Be part of oncall rotation(12pm 8pm EST 1week duration every 4 weeks).
oOther duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
o 5 years of experience with LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP)
oMinimum of 2 years of management / leadership experience in atechnology oriented organization required.
oMust be well versed supporting webservers
o Strong background withstorage SAN (NFS and iSCSI)
o Well versed with ELK stack( Elasticsearch Kibana Beats and Logstash)
o Adding / removing nodes expand clusters rebuilt clustersuse InfluxDB
o TCP / IP knowledge BGP and OSPF
oHandson experience working with Linux in a Systems Administrativerole
o Handson experience working with AdvancedNetwork Administrative role
including routingswitching and security
o Exceptional problemdetermination and creative problem solving skills
o Strong written and verbal skills
oStrong understanding of software development lifecycle
o Strong documentation and organizationalpractices
o Extensive experience with many ofthese :
o MySQL maintenance andtroubleshooting
o LAN / WAN / VPN setup andtroubleshooting
o Linuxbased and other firewalltechnology
o Cloud technologies (OpenStack oVirtRHEV or similar)
o Baremetal hardware SANSwitching and Loadbalancing
o Backuptechnologies
o Systems security
o Automation systems (Ansible Puppet orequivalent)
o Expertise with multiple Webtechnologies including but not limited to :
HTTPSSL DNS and SMTP protocols.
