Reportingto the Project Manager the responsibilities of the StructuralEngineerinclude :

• Work closely with field team to understand their needs and prepareconcept design for all required temporarystructures;
• Collaboratewith external engineers and internal team to create detailedtechnical drawings andschematics;
• Designplan and supervise all structuralwork;
• Completetemporary works designs to include concrete formwork critical liftplans worker accessetc.;
• Createand finalize shop fabrication drawings including custom fabricationanddesign;
• Material takeoffand generation of bill ofmaterials;
• Conductquality checks on completed work to identify any errors ordiscrepancies;
• Supportall projects through the fabrication process or temporary andpermanent steelstructures;
• Providestatus and progress reports to customer project team andmanagement;
• Interfacewith client representatives design engineers consultants othercontractorsetc.;
• Ensureproject is constructed in accordance with QA Programs and projectquality;
• Allother duties asassigned.

Requirements

• Postsecondarydegree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar or acombination of technical training and / orrelatedexperience;
• P.Engregistration in BC with EGBC isrequired;
• 35years minimum of structural experience preferable on largeinfrastructureprojects;
• Experienceon hydroelectric dams would be considered anasset;
• Workingknowledge of Worksafe BCregulations;
• Excellentcommand of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite MSProject BlueBeam AutoCAD etc.
• BilingualismFrench and English would be considered anasset.
