Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an energetic and reliable Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled menu items while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistency in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent food and customer service.
- Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to recipes and company standards.
- Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented consistently.
- Set up and stock the grill station before each service.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and receiving deliveries as required.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service.
- Report equipment issues or food quality concerns to the Kitchen Manager or Chef.
- Support opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar food service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs), work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
