Be part of a growing, dynamic, and evolving company.Job Title : General Manager, TruckingReports To : President, DistributionThe General Manager, Trucking is responsible for leading and executing on all strategic operational ventures related to Source’s internal Trucking (STS) division as well as our Last Mile Logistics (LML) teams. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Source’s Operations and leadership teams to guarantee the fulfillment of job requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will directly be responsible for budget and financial performance goals for the Trucking and Last Mile divisions, driving operations efficiencies and serves a key function in the growth of our organization.Why Work With Us : Be part of a growing companyStrong HSE cultureSource invests in our employees and their successWhat You’ll Be Doing : Oversee and manage Source’s Internal Trucking and LML Divisions to ensure that the company executes a best in class level of service for all its stakeholders; Provide leadership and direction to the STS and LML teamsWork with dedicated leadership teams to drive efficiencies and meet / exceed set KPIsDevelop annual KPIs for STS and LML business unitsInstill a strong customer service attitude at all levelsEnsure the team is aligned in achieving the operational, business development, and financial performance goals.Monitor and manage operational costs, including fuel expenses, maintenance and labor, to optimize profitability and ensure budget adherenceInstill a strong safety culture, driving the highest level of safety performance and service quality; Identify, develop and implement best practices and procedures for trucking operations; Continue to build a scalable business to adapt to changing market conditions; Develop and implement technologies that streamline business practices across trucking; Ensure regulatory compliance with drivers and equipment; Work with the maintenance manager to develop and maintain a trucking maintenance program; Complete Safety Fitness Certificate Compliance Course; Review and manage all required operating permitsDevelop and grow Source’s Owner / Operator operating groupOther duties as required.What Will Help You Succeed : Minimum 15 years of proven experience in the trucking industry; Minimum 10 years of proven management experience, leading and mentoring a large team directly and indirectly; Strong business development and technical acumen, with keen ability to work with all levels of field and corporate staff; Post-secondary degree ordiploma in engineering technology, or commerce / business administration an asset but not a requirement.Nice to Have : A high performer who is strongly motivated to meet deadlines; Excellent interpersonal skills including strong communication both orally and written with the ability to build relationships; Excellent analytical skills with a focus on ability to generate information from spreadsheets; a strong affinity for attention to detail is a must; A strong team player;Ability to take raw data and refine into quality information to support business decisions; Ability to perform financial statement analysis; Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including proficient Excel modeling skills; Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines with strong organization skills; Ability to learn, adapt to change and be flexible in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment; Preference will be givento candidates with previous work experience in oil and gas, logistics and / or related services.About Source Energy Services : Source Energy Services is a logistics and oilfield services company that focuses on the integrated production and distribution of high quality frac sand, as well as the distribution of other bulk oil and gas well completion materials requested by customers.
