Our client, located in the Durham Region and a leader in manufacturing steel and aluminum components for the aerospace and automotive industries, is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on precision and quality assurance.
Position Overview :
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products throughout the production process.
Your role will involve working with gauges and utilizing calibration tools to monitor and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform inspections and quality control checks on steel and aluminum products.
- Utilize calibration tools and maintain calibration standards.
- Work with gauges to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Document and report quality issues and corrective actions.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing role within the aerospace or tool and die industry.
- Proficiency with tools and dies, including calibration tools.
- Experience with lathing and other machining techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards and quality control procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Shift :
Monday to Thursday 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, and Friday 7 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 AM.
