Summary
The Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of Technicians in the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for multiple facilities. The Crew Lead ensures work is performed in accordance with established processes and practices and compliant with all internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. In addition to people leadership responsibilities, the Crew Lead also performs and delivers preventative and corrective maintenance as well as routine and on-demand services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
People Leadership
- Leads a team of individual contributors
- Assigns, prioritizes and monitors work progress to ensure completion and adherence to timeliness, quality standards and related requirements
- Reviews work for completeness and accuracy, ensuring quality adherence
- Guides, coaches and trains direct reports
- Provides input for performance reviews
Delivery and Maintenance
Oversees and monitors the activities and performance of Technicians within the assigned facility, ensuring adherence to processes and safety requirementsOversees application and execution of processes to ensure achievement of requirementsPerforms regular facility, mechanical and electrical monitoring, inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance to meet uptime objectives and asset integrityConducts facility walkthroughs and supervises maintenance to respond to routine and on-demand service requestsMaintains work order records in the service management database and initiates approvals for work requiredCoordinates preventative maintenance programs and ensures deficiencies are recorded, escalated and documentedCoordinates and participates in facility-related projectsMaintains tools and arranges for repair / replacement; submits expenditures timelyProvides and supports training, safety meetings and toolbox talksWillingness to work shifts, be on-call / standby and respond to emergency call-outsSupports tenant and customer satisfaction and positive service deliveryOther duties as assignedWork Requirements

More than 5 years of facility operations and maintenance experiencePrevious people leadership experience preferredHigh school diploma plus trades training and certificationAbility to lead a team and adhere to processes and practices in facility operationsStrong ability to maintain and repair building mechanical and electrical equipment and systemsTroubleshooting and resolution skills for building systemsKnowledge of fire, life safety and building codes; ability to apply related codesCommitment to safety and a strong environmental, health and safety mindsetClient-service orientation with a sense of urgencyEffective communication for data relay and clarificationLicenses and / or Professional Accreditation
