YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position is a key resource supporting the efficient operations of the Human Resources Department, with a specific focus on recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement.

Your key accountabilities will include :

  • Assist in the talent acquisition process including posting roles, screening, setting up interviews, submitting and tracking reference and criminal records checks etc.
  • Coordinate and activate employee engagement activities.
  • Act as key contact for all employees regarding HR related questions.
  • Manage employee files.
  • Assist in the tracking and reporting of HR-related KPIs.
  • Additional HR & administrative tasks as directed by the Director, HR.

Who YOU ARE

You are a detail-oriented planner, with the ability to juggle multiple, time sensitive tasks. You find joy in helping employees with their employment-related inquiries, and meeting new people through your recruitment, onboarding, and engagement activities.

You have a keen understanding of the confidentiality requirements within Human Resources, and have a good sense of where to direct employees when dealing with sensitive matters.

You staunchly uphold the values and culture of the organization that you serve and are a positive contributor to same.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-secondary Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills; experience with HRIS systems an asset.
  • Ability to work autonomously, eager to learn and take on challenges.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional requirements

Ability to be adaptable to the role’s mix of sitting, standing and moving, with a balance between computer-based work and verbal communication.

The candidate may be required to balance priorities between different stakeholders.

Employment type

Full Time (35 hours per week)
