Data Quality Analyst is needed for a one year contract. This role will be mainly remote, but the consultant should live in a distance commutable to Ontario (Napean) as they will be expected to come to the office for mission critical meetings.
- Under the general direction of the Project Manager, Data Management team, the Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following : Perform Testing, Data Quality Profiling & Data Quality Assessments
- Work with the team to establish business rules, rules, and thresholds for data being assessed.
- Conduct data testing, profiling and assessment based on customized rules.
- Measure and report on data quality assessment results and ongoing data quality improvement through the use of scorecards and / or dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to cleanse data prior to data migrations.
- Develop status reports for stakeholders, and liaise with business and technical leads on data analysis and reporting.
- Support data verification and functional testing of migrated data. Perform Data Issue Analysis & Remediation
- Work with the team to identify the root cause of data (and migration) issues. o Identify and prioritize issues and work with the team to resolve them.
- Perform Data Mapping & Build Data Transformations
- Review business requirements with Business Analysts and Business Systems Analysts.
- Review data mappings for completeness and accuracy and work with the team to keep maintain data mappings (and other metadata). o
- Work with the team to build and run data transformation routines to transform and move data from its current state into the vendor staging database.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Completed an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years in a data analysis role involving reporting / analytics projects, data warehouse and / or data platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance.
- Ability to elicit data requirements and data quality rules from business use cases.
- Ability to simplify technology / data communications for business consumption.
