Position Overview
The Application Engineer will be responsible for guiding, building, and managing the retail and commercial order management systems and platforms, enabling modernized solutions to facilitate consistent and improved development and deployment that run independently by the technology and business teams. Additionally, the Application Engineer for Omni Systems will support the configurations, solution designs of applications and modules, which are easily maintained and modified by the end users. This individual will collaborate with internal and external teams, while communicating cross‑functionally with developers, champions, and partners, achieving agile and progressive goals and measures to deliver seamless experiences to the users across various business functions. They will focus on creating and building creative values, modernized approaches, and solutions to deliver exceptional customer journey and business results.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinating with the cross‑functional teams to understand reported issues, ensure prioritization and root‑cause analysis, impact analysis on other business processes and systems, and communicating to appropriate business units for next steps and resolutions in a timely manner.
- Gather requirements, design, and lead stable, scalable solutions, implementing improved configurations, system processes, architecture, and reports.
- Support internal and external training needs of the business by creating relevant documentation, assisting and leading sessions, while ensuring materials are kept up‑to‑date and available to all system users.
- Actively engage with stakeholders to gain firsthand insights into current operations and surrounding systems, and identify areas for improvement and effective gains.
- Perform relevant SOX control validations surrounding processes and systems as per control‑design.
- Provide input and insights to support future system functionalities and development requested by various operational and commercial teams.
- Identify potential gaps in systems and related integrations, processes, and determine necessary workarounds or system changes.
- Ensure process integrity by documenting current and future business processes and reinforcing consistent adoption and execution across all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide QA and user‑acceptance test scenarios, participate, and guide testing to ensure all commercial solutions work as expected prior to deployment to business users.
- Discover and modernize business processes, systems, and platforms to ensure efficient and effective seamless flow of data and experiences.
- Assist data analysts, applications engineers, developers, and other stakeholders in determining requirements for new reports and dashboards for users of commercial systems.
- Collaborate with technical and subject‑matter experts to analyze trade‑offs between usability and performance needs of the systems.
- Ensure all data provided to external sources from commercial systems is complete and accurate; if required, work with relevant teams to validate and mandate data inconsistencies.

Let’s Talk About You
3‑5+ years of experience as a commercial business analyst, consultant, or engineer, implementing Order Management Solutions across various Enterprise Applications platforms.Dynamics 365 Commerce Functional Consultant certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.Certification such as CBAP, PMI‑BAP, or accompanying certification in MSFT, Azure, Cloud, Salesforce services are also an asset.Must have strong working experience in D365 ERP, Power Platform, Salesforce, and D365 CE is an asset.Advanced understanding of Power Platform, Power App, and Power Automate applications.Cloud, networks, server, IT security, and programming experience.Specialist in at least one programming language (e.g., Python or Java).Comprehend and compose complex SQL and M Queries.Intermediate to advanced understanding and experience in headless commerce engine, business process, and unified data.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.Ability to think innovatively, solve complex problems, and present solutions in clear and compelling terms.Absorb and apply the latest technology and trends within software design, architecture, and engineering.Working Conditions
