We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Plate Saw Operators / Band Saw Operators to join our client's team based out of Montreal, QC.
You'll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will be in a production environment with stable work force ensuring optimal production.
The candidate must be mechanically inclined with experience in using Vernier Calipers, Micrometer, Band Saw, Plate Saw.
A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have :
- high school diploma or GED
- technical or Trade School diploma
- worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
- worked in a fast-paced mid-size company
Requirements :
- must have background and education in trades or mechanical.
- ability to read blueprints, and use vernier caliper, micrometer, inch tape etc
- have basic computer skills and aptitude
- be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
- experience in operating Band Saw, plate saw, hand tools, and power tools
- apply effective time management and self-management skills
- understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
In this position, you will :
- configure the saw machine by entering instructions
- load machine with workpieces
- verify settings by measuring the positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces
- maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes
- perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet company standards
