Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated Recreation Worker / Coordinator to join our clients team in Gold River, BC. - Job type : Permanent Full-time Responsibilities :
- Assist with the planning and execution of daily events and recreation activities for the children.
- Participate in the planning of community holiday events, including the Christmas Party, Easter, etc.
- Facilitate activities for the children.
- Collaborate with other program staff to ensure the health and well-being of the children.
- Guide, demonstrate, and encourage children's activities throughout the day
- Document observations on the children and complete any reports where required.
- Collaborates with other education staff to support education programs
- Ensures equipment and supplies are clean, maintained and stored in a safe and efficient manner.
- Coordinate physical spaces, program leaders and materials required for programs and events Requirements :
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Post-secondary education in human or social service coursework or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in recreation / activity programming
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Ability to work well in team settings and prioritize tasks
- First aid and CPR certification preferred, experience in First Nation Communities considered an asset
