We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a global client of ours in north-east Winnipeg. The Project Engineer is involved with technical coordination and support on the optimization maintenance and replacement / upgrade of manufacturing equipment, related facilities and infrastructure.
An ideal candidates will have a mechanical aptitude and experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, execution and management of projects including those related to capital investments defined in the Annual Action Plan (budget of $1-20M annually)
- Conduct technical studies to support CAPEX investments
- Planning and execution of renovation / upgrade projects to improve facility efficiency, safety, and functionality.
- Implementing technical solutions to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Implement new technology solutions for equipment / facility.
- Support training and development of team members (engineering and maintenance) as necessary.
- Work closely with maintenance team(s) on predictive / preventative maintenance, including development and execution of PM plans, and technical support (equipment downtime).
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for maintenance and project work as necessary.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering or Maintenance Technology, or demonstrated relatable experience.
- Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, including demonstrated knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and general mechanical systems.
- 3 to 10 years’ experience in industrial projects including in manufacturing.
- Project management skills to develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Experience leading / supporting in-direct reports (maintenance team members).
- Experience working with preventative / predictive maintenance programs, including CMMS systems.
- Ability to support working in a multi-facility business, with work at both facilities in Manitoba and occasional travel to the U.S. (South Carolina).
