Job description

This is a great opportunity to develop your career in corporate environment while you get to interact with a variety of individuals.

Location : Winnipeg, MB

Advantages

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
  • 3month assignment with possibility of extension
  • Payrate : $30 / h

Responsibilities

Execute effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and securing favorable terms.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and innovation.

Address and resolve issues with suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.

Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor overall procurement expenses.

Continuously assess market trends, conduct benchmarking, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and project managers, to understand their procurement needs.

Ensure effective communication and alignment of procurement strategies with organizational objectives.

Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, implementing appropriate controls.

Regularly analyze data and provide reports to management on procurement performance.

Qualifications

Supply Chain experience, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Procurement associate

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, sourcing, and contract execution

Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
