Our client a 3PL company located in Mississauga is looking for a Warehouse Team Lead to join their team."
Responsibilities Include :
Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products in a fast paced environment..
- Load and unload trucks in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform heavy lifting as required.
- Communicate job expectations and provide direction to warehouse staff.
- Supervise, train and disciple up to 8 to 10 warehouse staff on proper safety measures.as needed.
- Manage inventory through (WMS) for inventory tracking and order management.
- Work with a diverse team to streamline warehouse procedures, recommend improvements and increase productivity.
- Ensure that company policies, protocols, and regulatory standards are adhered to.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and repair equipment as needed
- Ensure and maintain the overall cleanliness of the warehouse
- Operate Forklift's, Reach Trucks and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Effectively communicate with external customers and drivers as needed.
Required Skills / Experience :
- Minimum 4-5 years prior experience in warehouse supervisory, or a similar role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a distribution or 3PL environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Previous experience working with warehouse management systems.
- Valid certification and 3 years experience operating forklift, reach truck, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills..
- Strong team building skills.
- Strong time management and ability to adapt to changes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- CSA safety shoes and safety vest required.
