Our client a 3PL transportation logistics company with 20 years experience moving freight is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The position can be located in the GTA, Vancouver, Calgary or Montreal.
Responsibilities
Identify and capitalize on customer partnership opportunities
Has a laser focus on delivering an exceptional Customer Experience
Implement strategic business development growth plans to support existing customers
Develop new and lasting relationships in an effort to grow business that will contribute to the company's growth plans and surpass individual sales targets
Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure the customer's expectations are not only met but exceeded
Identify new and innovative market opportunities and ways to mitigate competitive threats within the marketplace
Manages time, priorities and activities with precision using the tools provided
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree or 3 - 4 years prior transportation management / freight brokerage related business development / sales experience
Hunter / Attainer mentality who constantly seeks new markets and new business expansion opportunities
Superior customer service skills with problem solving proficiency
Proven experience within the non-asset, 3PL transportation industry including TL and LTL pricing in the Canadian, cross border and US marketplace
Strong communication, technical and interpersonal skills
Proven and demonstrated knowledge and execution of successful sales development strategies
A team player that possesses the ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines
Innovative "out of the box" thinker that can execute
