Respiratory Therapist
Division : Bayshore Specialty Rx Setting : Variety of patient care settings Location : Gatineau and Montréal, QC Employment Status : Full time opportunities available
Bayshore Specialty Rx is seeking RT / CRE professionals in Gatineau, QC and Montreal, QC to work as casual employees within our organization.
In either role, there’s no guaranteed number of hours. The availability of hours depends on the needs of the clinics in your area.
There are no minimum hours required to be accepted in this position.
Scheduled Clinic days consist of 6 to 8 patients, with 1-hour appointments for each of them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Question the patient about their medical history
- Take vital signs
- Perform a Spirometry test pre-post Ventolin
- Provide COPD teaching, including basic teaching on the disease, inhaled medication use, basic health education, and everything else that may apply to your patient situation
- Meet with the physician to provide recommendations based on your evaluation of the patient’s condition
- Complete a Clinical Assessment form, same day, for each patient seen and submit to the Patient Program for inclusion in the patient electronic file
- Bayshore will provide the spirometer and other equipment required to complete the spirometer tests. The spirometer that we are currently working with is the Easy One Air from NDD.
Job Qualification
Education and / or Experience and / or other skills and abilities.
- A valid RT / CRE license that allows you to practice in your province.
- A liability insurance (Up to 1M$).
- A vulnerable sector screening check (Bayshore can assist in obtaining if required).
- Any other certifications will be considered as an asset.
