THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

GreenshieldAdministration provides innovative health benefit solutions for the small-midsize companies in Canada. Recognized as the leading alternative to thetraditional insurance companies, in a market where small and mid-sizedemployers have been largely underserved Greenshield Administration sets itselfapart from the competition, by using technology, creative product developmentand a stellar customer experience to solve problems for employers. HoneybeeBenefits is our next generation benefits platform built for today’s modernworkforce that empowers employers to compete better for talent.

Reportingto the Director, Drug Plan Management, the successful candidate will providethought leadership to inform GreenShield’s pharmacy strategy in the Quebecmarket. A key focus of the role is close collaboration with cross-functionalteams to service clients and support product development within the pharmacybenefit management team.

Theideal candidate is an energetic, highly motivated, fully bilingual pharmacistwith private benefits industry experience in the Quebec market who demonstratescomfort working with multiple stakeholders across the pharmaceutical andbenefits industries, including plan sponsors and partners (clients), benefitsconsultants and advisors, pharmacies, government, and other industryorganizations.

ResponsibilitiesInclude :

  • Participates inGreenShield’s Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee; acts as a subject matterexpert bringing the Quebecperspective to inform drug benefit evaluation andlisting decisions.
  • Provides guidance onformulary development, drug benefit administration and drug claims adjudicationwhile ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides support andsubject matter expertise to the pharmacy clinical services team as it relatesto evaluation of drug prior authorization requests.
  • Accountable for competitivepositioning, product development, management, and maintenance of the pharmacyproduct portfolio with a focus on the Quebec market.
  • Acts as a subject matterexpert for existing and new pharmacy products and offerings.
  • Monitors and evaluatesrelevant industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the pharmacy benefitsindustry with a focus on the Quebec market.
  • Works directly with clientsto field, manage and respond to drug and pharmacy inquires.
  • Collaborates with theclient service team to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
  • Develops and deliverspharmacy benefits related presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates and supportscreation and maintenance of best-in-class RFP responses for pharmacy offerings.
  • Attends and / or representsGreenShield at conferences and other industry events.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong workingknowledge of the regulatory and competitive environment for prescription drugsand pharmacy benefits; awareness and ability to anticipate key trends
  • Strongproficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Stronginterpersonal skills; able to work effectively with internal and externalstakeholders in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellentcommunication (verbal and written), presentation and documentation skills; ableto convey complex information clearly and succinctly to all levels of internaland external stakeholders.
  • Proven planningand organizational skills
  • Excellentanalytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivatedand self-directed; able to make effective decisions and recommendationsleveraging the team expertise and / or independently
  • Ability to travel
  • Written and spoken bilingualism in French and English
  • Licensed pharmacist and ingood standing to practice in the province of Quebec
  • THE NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in the private benefits industry
  • Experience with formularyreview and health technology assessment is an asset
