We are currently looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our diverse fleet of equipment based out of our Prince George shop.
Responsibilities include :
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop, prioritizing and assigning work as required including deployment of mobile field HDMs
- Manage and mentor apprentices assigned to location
- Complete daily safety briefings
- Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment
- Diagnose and repair all types of equipment
- Report to the Mechanical Superintendent
- Complete work orders and equipment log books accurately
- Source parts and supplies when necessary
- Work individually as well as in a team environment*
- Assist with other duties as required

Completion of provincial red-seal apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Commercial Transport
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Extensive experience with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Class 3 w / air license would be an asset
- Experience with railway equipment an asset
- Work within our safety guidelines
- Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screening
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
- Able to work all types of shifts as required
- Willing to learn and repair all types of equipment
- Willing to travel and work in remote locations when necessary
