Health & Safety Occupational Claims and Appeals Coordinator Full time Health & Safety Occupational Claims and Appeals CoordinatorPay Grade 12 - Job #1214 - $33.99 / hour The workload for this position is thirty-five (35) hours per week, twelve (12) months of the year.Under the supervision of the Health & Safety Manager – WorkSafe Injury Management :
- Provides effective Disability Case Management of Occupational illness / injury claims in accordance with WorkSafeBC including clerical duties;
- Communicates with key stakeholders to facilitate the safe and timely return to work for ill / injured employees;
- Assesses Monthly Claims Cost reports for accuracy;
- Maintains online statistical database for several School Districts;
- Researches then prepares submissions for WorkSafeBC Review Division and WCAT Appeals. Qualifications :
- Completed Grade 12 and (2) two years Post-Secondary Education;
- Minimum of (3) years previous experience, including one (1) year on the job, with WorkSafe BC, short-term disability or long-term disability processes;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Net typing speed of fifty (50) words per minute. Applicants will be expected to :

- Possess good organizational and analytical skills
