Reporting to the General Manager , the Senior Rebar Estimator, based in Port Coquitlam, BC will be responsible for estimating the rebar quantities and job costs of commercial, industrial and civil construction projects.

Role and responsibilities :

• Analyze project documents to prepare accurate cost and rebar estimates;
• Takeoff reinforcing bar needed on projects based on provided documents;
• Estimate, labor, equipment and materials needed for each project;
• Determine schedule and provide total budget costs;
• Communicate with clients, detailing and sales team to ensure best possible estimates;
• Prepare and send documents to General Manager for final pricing and approval;
• Participate and attend pre-tender award meetings, management meetings and staff meetings;
• Any other required duties necessary to the position

Qualifications

• College diploma in civil engineering, estimating or drafting;
• 5+ years of experience as an estimator;
• 3+ years of rebar takeoff experience;
• Ability to work on multiple estimating bids;
• Autonomy, creative, flexible;
• High level of organization;
• Very good communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Experience using Google and Microsoft 365 platforms
