Adecco is currently in search of a permanent, full-time Automotive Service Technician - Apprentice in Richmond, BC, to join our client, a leading entity in the automotive wholesale industry.

In this role, you will be assisting with completing diagnoses, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on vehicles as assigned, while upholding consistently high standards for technical efficiency and adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Location : Richmond, BC
  • Pay Rate : $24 - $31 / Hour, depending on experience.
  • Shifts : Rotation Monday to Friday OR Tuesday - Saturday 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM Overtime opportunity
  • Assignment Type : Permanent Full-time

Responsibilities :

  • Complete pre and post-sale inspections including test drives
  • Complete general shop maintenance, pulling up vehicles into the shop, and test driving vehicles for diagnosis of repairs required
  • Provide general maintenance services by conducting oil and fluid changes, tire changes, general vehicle check overs and related duties as well as ensuring that all safety procedures are followed
  • Provide frame inspection services by conducting inspections of vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends or other damage exists
  • Assist with provision of general repair services by conducting general mechanical inspections and repairs including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, front end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, maintenance of auction vehicles and external referrals for transmission work.
  • Provide frame inspection services by conducting inspections of vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends or other damage exists
  • Assist other technicians with complex / large jobs
  • May assist with sourcing parts & providing quotes to customer as well as completing work orders including parts & labor entries

Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Education or Certification as an Automotive Service Technician
  • 1-3 years of experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles
  • Suitable for 2nd or 3rd-year apprentice
  • Valid driver's abstract
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in smartphone utilization are required
  • Flexible schedule required Monday-Saturday.
