Our client in the aviation consulting space is seeking a Project Coordinator in Kitchener, ON. In this role, you will support Senior Project Managers with the planning, design, and construction of large-scale capital projects at airports throughout Canada, with an emphasis on airport buildings and infrastructure.

This is a hybrid position, requiring you to be at the Kitchener or Richmond Hill office three days a week.

Responsibilities :

  • Administer construction contracts with general contractors, including managing change orders, requests for information, and payment certifications.
  • Support clients in their procurement processes for major capital projects, including pre-qualifications, RFPs, contractor evaluations, tenders, and contract negotiations.
  • Visit construction sites across Canada to assess the quality and progress of work.
  • Review and observe material and equipment testing inspections on-site.
  • Identify and document any deficiencies in construction work.
  • Conduct and supervise final inspections to ensure project completion meets contract specifications.
  • Ensure warranty inspections are performed and take necessary actions to correct any issues.
  • Oversee that construction work aligns with contract requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, architecture, or planning, or a degree / diploma in engineering technology or architectural technology.
  • Proven experience in facility design or construction projects. Airports / aviation experience is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, along with experience in AutoCAD / Civil3D.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and manage sub-contractors.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to solve problems effectively.
