SUMMARY
An opportunity to ensure the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, on time and on budget, while meeting corporate and client expectations

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager of IT / Security / AV, you will be responsible for the effective planning, developing, delivering, and reporting on assigned projects within scope, schedule and budget, and in line with corporate and client procedural boundaries.
You will be responsible for supporting the project management, reporting and day-to-day administration of a large rehabilitation project valued at $500M+ for a prestigious public-sector client.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary role as an Associate Project Manager will encompass a wide variety of duties. Specifically, you will :
- Be directly responsible for the delivery of Security projects, from inception to completion, including document management for classified and unclassified information, scheduling, quality management, regulatory and environmental compliance communications, planning & design, commissioning, occupancy, and health & safety.
- Plan and coordinate projects to maximize beneficial use by clients while minimizing disruptions to clients and / or occupants.
- Offer value-added solutions by providing cost-beneficial alternatives.
- Coordinate with facility management forces to ensure the best solution and optimum turnover of the project.
- Work closely as part of the Project Management team to ensure continuous improvement and successful delivery of the team’s program of projects.
- Carrying out tours and visits to construction sites and report on observations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and vendors.
- Monitors work progress to ensure completion.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To be up to the exciting challenges of this Associate Project Manager role, you must have a professional profile that includes :
University degree in engineering or equivalent relevant discipline with 1-3 years of project management experience in construction and tenant set-up.
OR 3-5 years of project management experience in construction with Community college diploma in a relevant discipline such as Engineering Technology, or equivalent training.
- Knowledge and experience with respect to industry / RCMP standards and regulations for Physical Security.
- Knowledge of construction management pertaining to site inspections, change management and costing
- Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
- Effective client management, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and proactive approach.
- Problem-solving and conflict management skills.
- Software proficiencies depending on assignment, . MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, along with ability to quickly learn new applications
ASSETS :
- Bilingualism (English and French)
- Secret Clearance. (The successful candidate will be required to complete Secret Security Clearance)
