As (Saints) approaches its centennial year, the Director of Advancement plays a central role in graduating young men who are ready to do good in the world.

Saints invites applications for the position of Director of Advancement for an appointment in January 2025.

Saints is a university preparatory school for boys, located in Vancouver, B.C. It is ranked as one of the top schools in Canada and aspires to be one of the world’s finest schools for boys.

It graduates approximately 160 students each year, with 100 percent attending post-secondary institutions (and over 30 percent attending American and international universities).

Saints occupies two campuses, one serving the Junior School (Kindergarten to Grade 7) and the other housing the Senior School (Grades 8 to 12).

Total enrolment is 1150, of which 775 are senior school students and approximately 100 are boarders, currently from over 19 countries.

Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Advancement is a member of St. George’s Senior Leadership Team and serves on the Advancement Committee of the school’s Board of Governors.

The Director leads a dedicated team of 11 across the portfolios of major gifts, annual giving, special events, communications, and alumni relations.

They also serve as an ambassador for St. George’s School, both within the school and the broader community, demonstrating the role and importance of fundraising and community relations, and advancing Saints’ mission and reputation.

The Director plays a key role in alumni relations, working closely with the School’s Old Boys’ Association.

The ideal candidate is a successful senior advancement professional with a proven track record of proactively increasing philanthropic revenue and expertise in capital campaigns.

You bring a record of success in securing major and principal gifts from within a sophisticated, complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

You are a warm and engaging leader with a reputation as an outstanding team player, and an ability to demonstrate the empathy, respect, and humility that is needed to connect effectively with all of the many stakeholders who make up the Saints community.
