Your role
- Prepare requisitions or Engineering Quotation Requests (EQR) for equipment and materials to support procurement.
- Interface and provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers / Drafters.
- Prepare preliminary design walkdown report, OPEX report etc.
- Perform conceptual, preliminary, and / or detailed design phases to support Nuclear electrical systems and modifications.
- Prepare technical documents, such as : engineering drawings (including GAs, DDs, EDs), change paper markups, calculations, design / analysis reports, design requirements, design manuals, bill of materials, design specifications, technical specifications, component specification sheets, commissioning specifications, etc.
- Electrical Engineering degree and eligible to become a member of PEO (PEng).
- Experience in modeling electrical power systems and use of analysis functions in ETAP, or other similar software program is an asset.
- Experience with medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, including preparation of Single Line diagrams, Elementary Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, and schedules, and calculation of power demand / electrical load lists, transformer sizing, cable sizing, circuit breaker sizing calculations.
- Good knowledge and experience of electrical power systems and applicable codes and standards, such as OESCM CSA 22.1.
- Having OPG site security clearance and / or eligible to obtain site security clearance.
- Currently working / Worked in OPG for preliminary engineering, detail design and modification project activities as per OPG N‑PROC‑MP‑0090 will be an asset.
- Worked on OPG AS7 and / or AS9 (or equivalent asset management system) system will be an asset.
