About the Role :
We are seeking a driven and creative Tradeshow and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing our participation in trade shows and industry events.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and successful event experience that drives brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
Responsibilities :
Event Planning, Budgeting & Coordination
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop annual trade show and event schedules aligned with the company's marketing objectives.
- Research and identify key industry trade shows and events that provide high-value opportunities to connect with potential customers and partners.
- Secure booth space, manage logistics, and oversee all aspects of booth setup and breakdown, adhering to budget guidelines.
- Develop and manage trade show and event budgets.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure all materials and equipment are delivered on time.
- Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and products.
Creative & Engaging Presentations
- Collaborate with the design team to create informative and visually compelling presentations showcasing the company's electric boat motor technology and software.
- Develop engaging demonstrations or live experiences that capture attendee interest at the booth.
- Manage event materials, including brochures, presentations, product specification sheets, and merchandise.
Event Execution & Staff Management
- Coordinate with the team to ensure scheduling and manage team travel to align with various events.
- Coordinate training sessions with the team.
Lead Qualification & Post-Event Follow-Up
- Work with the marketing team to develop pre-event marketing campaigns (email, social media) to generate awareness.
- Implement strategies to capture high-quality leads during events.
- Work with the sales team to ensure prompt follow-up with qualified leads generated at events.
Event Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze post-event data, including lead generation, engagement metrics, and booth traffic patterns.
- Prepare reports summarizing event performance and identifying areas for improvement in future event participation.
Industry Trends & Best Practices
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices for trade show and event marketing within the sustainable boating and electric motor sectors.
- Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in trade show and event marketing.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing trade shows and events.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Experience developing and managing event budgets.
- Experience with trade show logistics, including booth design, fabrication, and shipping.
- Creativity and ability to develop engaging presentations and marketing materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Hubspot is a plus.
- Ability to travel to attend trade shows and events.
- Experience in the marine industry is an asset.
