What you can expect to do here :
- Perform stress analysis of piping & equipment systems.
- Generate comprehensive technical reports, offering insightful recommendations to enhance designs and address issues effectively.
- Demonstrate exceptional client engagement, effective problem-solving, clear communication, passion, and outstanding technical knowledge both within the team and on-site.
- Lead and guide both local and remote team members with their work.
- Design piping supports and support the development of specifications and standards
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and develop strong client and internal relationships
- Apply industry guidelines, codes, and standards criteria to formulate design recommendations.
- Ensure engineering designs meet applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, CSA, etc.)
- Prepare and seal technical reports summarizing the results of the analyses
What you'll bring to WSP :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer. Other jurisdictions are an asset.
- Minimum of 15+ years of stress engineering experience in an EPC Environment.
- Previous experience in leading teams and projects
- Previous experience with Oil & Gas facilities, mining facilities and rotating equipment are an asset.
- Ability to solve technical design challenges.
- Familiarity with Ceasar II. Autopipe. FE Pipe and Nozzle Pro
- Proficiency in standard Windows software.
- Experience in multiple projects with tight deadlines is considered an asset.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
