Opportunity exists for international travel for work.The JobOur Environment division is currently seeking Senior Environmental Consultants based out of Calgary or southern Alberta areas (Lethbridge or Medicine Hat).
You will have a diverse skill set and experience with Pre-Construction, Remediation and Reclamation projects. You will work in a team to ensure project requirements are completed safely and efficiently, and provide cost-effective solutions while providing our clients high quality of work while maintaining professional ethics.
ResponsibilitiesExecuting scopes of work and cost estimates under the Project Manager’s supervisionEnsuring project requirements are met in a timely and effective mannerParticipating in technical and safety programs, quality assurance and quality controlAssisting with Phase 2 and Phase 3 site assessmentsCompleting detailed site assessments and groundwater monitoringCoordinating and supervising reclamation projectsLeading and mentoring junior consultants on-siteManaging and meeting all client and regulatory ground disturbance requirementsEnsuring compliance with all safety regulations, directives and SOP’sImplementing internal and client safety programsRemaining current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, providing updated information as it becomes availableRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation or similar discipline;
Professional designation or articling to obtain is considered an asset;5 years of relevant field experience;Knowledge of the water act and experience with wetland classification an assetKnowledge and experience with the 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines and the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Remediation Guidelines an assetUnderstanding of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in AB, BCExperience with reclamation and remediation on private and public landsStrong soil characterization and vegetation identification skillsGood physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field for extended periodsValid driver’s licenseValid Pesticide Applicators License an assetStrong commitment to customer satisfactionPossess strong verbal and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and is very detail oriented and organizedPrecise attention to detail and ability to produce professional quality deliverables on time and on budget
