The pace isbriskand the problems are tough, but the rewards—professional growth, real-world impact, and equity in our success—are big.
If you thrive in ambiguity, value collaboration, and want your Monday morning to matter, let’s talk.
Highwood Emissions Management (Highwood) is an equalopportunityemployer working to enable diversity in the workforce. We welcome all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We also value diversity of worldview, experience, and perspective.
Your Mission
Reducing GHG emissions from the oil and natural gas industry is one of the single greatest short-term impacts that we can make towards decarbonizing our economy. Incentivizing the production, transportation, and end use of low-carbon energy is critical. Highwood is looking to expand its consulting team and is currently seeking to fill the role of Senior Emissions Consultant. The consulting team at Highwood delivers high-value, actionable products to clients as well as contributing to innovation through Highwood’s software offerings and overall thought leadership.
Currently, Highwood is focused on building our Emission Intelligence Platform (EIP), which allows customers to understand their emissions in new and valuable ways. But your scope will not be limited to EIP as you will contribute to challenging, fast paced consulting projects which call for strong data analytics, technical writing, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Your role will be to contribute to the consulting team through the creation of high value deliverables, growing the consulting pipeline via business development efforts, and staying current with industry education and trends. The role is an exciting growth opportunity where you will :
- Work with an unprecedented quantity of methane data – Between our software and consulting partners, Highwood works with many methane detection and quantification technology vendors and operators active in this space. This gives our team exposure to a variety of datasets.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment – The consulting team works collaboratively with the R&D, product, and senior leadership teams.
- Contribute to the development of innovative software – Work on EIP is a team effort. You will contribute feedback to the ongoing refinement of EIP through your expertise in what oil and gas clients are looking for when seeking to better understand their emissions.
We are looking for a confident, client-focused consultant who thrives equally on delivering challenging, technical products and building relationships and driving new business. The ideal candidate pairs sharp data analysis skills with a strategic mindset, turning complex data into actionable emissions reduction strategy recommendations that drive value. You’ll be equally at home nurturing long-term partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and digging into data to solve real-world emissions challenges. If you bring both people skills and analytical chops, we’d love to meet you.
Deliver high-quality solutions to our consulting clients : contribute to technical and actionable deliverables, effectively communicate outcomes to clients through both written reports and presentations.
Effectively manage projects by working within defined scopes, budgets, and timelines, all collaboratively with Highwood’s diverse team.
Provide operational insights to clients based on emissions datasets.
Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex emissions datasets and extract meaningful insights.
Develop proficiency in, and apply, Highwood’s software solutions to provide clients with actionable guidance on methane emissions reduction strategies. Work closely with our R&D and Product teams to stay up to date on Highwood’s software offerings and provide guidance on development.
Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships focused on retention and reengagement.
About You
Here are some of the things we’re looking for. Note that we don’t expect you to have all these qualifications, experiences, and / or skills. Highwood will choose to train someone with the right attitude over hiring the wrong person with the right skills.
Education and Experience
