Lead a unionized team in maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs on locomotives, mobile equipment and vehicles used in plant, yard and road service
Ensure repairs and train servicing are in compliance with Association of American Railroad, Transport Canada standards and CPKC policies
Work with internal and external partners to improve fluidity and achieve Local Service Operating Plan and Operating Plan
Provide leadership accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics
Lead safety compliance within the terminal, providing corrective actions as needed to uphold standards, engage in safety discussions to promote a culture of safety
Conduct briefings to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and communicated to the next Supervisor on shift
Mentor and coach team through active observation and provide feedback
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma / general equivalency diploma, required
Valid driver's license, required
2 years’ previous supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment is preferred
Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in all weather conditions
Ability to drill down, understand root cause and resolve complex issues
Excellent focus, attention to detail and ability to multitask
Read and understand safety instructions, operating rules and regulations and other written or printed material in English
