Position Description
This position will contribute to clients implementation and integration of a next generation Energy
Management System. The successful candidate will be responsible for technology system implementation,
integration and testing. The can include Windows / Linux server builds, integration with axillary systems
including backup, anti-malware, asset management etc. Development and testing of repeatable work
procedures will be important. Automation of work processes will also be key.
Mandatory Education / Certifications
Desired Education / Certifications
Linux (e.g. RHCSA / RHCE)
Microsoft (e.g. MCSA / MCSE)
Certifications in other technology infrastructure pillars are desirable (Server, Storage, Database,
Virtualization, Backup, etc.)
Mandatory Experience
Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows Servers and / or Linux servers.
Extensive knowledge of client / server operating systems (Linux, UNIX, and Windows), back-end
infrastructure services and networking, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), certificates, and their impact on Active
Directory.
Demonstrated experience operation and supporting servers, virtualization, operating systems and other
technology systems.
Desired Experience
Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role Base Access Control (RBAC).
Knowledge of system hardening best practices (e.g. CIS Baselines for Microsoft)
Knowledge of Cryptography concepts such as PKI, HSM and Key Management
Knowledge of Anti-virus systems
Knowledge of backup systems
Knowledge of secure remote access solutions.
Experience with VMWare ESX server virtualization
Experience working with infrastructure management platforms
Experience with automation technology (e.g. Python, Ansible, Powershell, etc)
Deliverables
Developing technical specifications (e.g. cable schedules, topologies, service diagrams, device
configurations)
Creating implementation guides and MOPs
Operational processes and procedures
System integration and commissioning
System support
