Are you looking to embark on a dynamic career as a Manufacturing Operations Trainer? Crestline is seeking a dedicated professional who will play a crucial role in instructing and coordinating the training activities of our production employees.

You will be responsible for assessing the necessary skills required for production and assembly, developing training programs and materials, and ensuring the effective implementation of these programs to enhance safety and efficiency.

In this role, you will work closely with HR and various departments to design and refine training programs, ensuring they are practical, interactive, and deliver a high return on investment.

You will champion a culture of continuous learning, staying at the forefront of training methodologies, and driving innovation through the integration of technology and cutting-edge training practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Manufacturing Operations Trainer you will :

Create comprehensive training materials tailored for manufacturing operations, including manuals, guides, and course materials.

Design and develop practical, interactive training programs that deliver a high return on investment. This includes creating quality training materials such as hands-on practical skills training, train-the-trainer support, and training evaluation techniques.

Lead training sessions for manufacturing staff, focusing on operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality control standards.

Conduct on-the-job, skills, and classroom training in assembly and production areas. Ensure that all training activities and documentation are engaging and effective.

Assess the effectiveness of training by evaluating employee performance, providing feedback, and making necessary adjustments to training programs.

Track the progress of trainees, report on their development, and identify any additional training needs. Work with the Training & Development Specialist in HR to ensure any necessary follow-up training is scheduled.

  • Stay updated with the latest manufacturing technologies and processes to continuously improve training content and methods.
  • Work closely with the HR Training & Development Specialist and manufacturing supervisors and managers to identify training needs and ensure that the workforce is skilled and knowledgeable.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company safety standards.
  • Analyze training processes and data to determine ongoing / new training needs, update / develop materials, and provide in-depth training reports.

Track the progress of training and related projects.

Be proactive in researching and resolving issues. Drive training initiatives independently or within a team, and continuously improve the business through innovative production training techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS

As the Manufacturing Operations Trainer you will bring :

  • A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field. Preference for backgrounds in communications, technical writing, adult education, and training.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and a background in education or training are preferred.
  • Proficiency in using production equipment, ERP, MES, and lean manufacturing tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, essential for facilitating engaging training sessions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a background in training needs analysis and program evaluation.
  • Mechanical aptitude, machine maintenance history, and experience in training new production workers in the use of materials, machines, and computer systems used on the production floor for work instruction, tracking, and the recording of production information.
  • A combination of technical knowledge, teaching ability, and the capacity to innovate and adapt training methods to meet the evolving needs of the production environment.
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach and motivate employees.
