At Sun Life, the HR Digital Solutions team is responsible for designing and deploying scalable technical solutions in Workday to better organize, understand, and proactively deploy our current and future workforce needs. This team is diverse in education, in experience and prides themselves on their passion, innovative mindset, and collaborative work culture, while using modern agile principles. Under the leadership of the Manager, HR Systems Management, you’ll have a safe space to experiment, take calculated risks, and build on your colleague’s strengths and expertise to achieve milestones.

As Sun Life furthers our transformation to a Digital Enterprise, the Analyst, HR Digital Solutions will play an integral role in driving the future of work through delivering innovative services and creating awesome and seamless employee experiences. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn in-demand skills, work with best-in-class technology and push the boundaries of what HR technology can do.
What will you do?
Support system upgrades and manage communication plans to global stakeholders
Ensure the accuracy, organization, and maintenance of tickets in our ticketing system (JIRA)
Clearly define and refine requirements and ensure focus is on high value and high impact work
Identify opportunities for system enhancements and propose innovative solutions to optimize the HR processes, drive automation, and improve user experience in the Talent Management and Talent Development spaces
Maintain accurate system documentation, including process workflows, system configurations, and standard operating procedures, to ensure knowledge sharing and facilitate system maintenance and upgrades
Strong time management skills and ability to balance urgent work and project work at the same time, and independently organizing work based on daily and long-term priorities while executing duties and ensuring deadlines are met or exceeded
Develop a deep understanding and actively participate in the Workday Community platform by joining relevant groups, forums, and discussions to stay up to date on the latest enhancements and best practices
Practical knowledge and understanding of Workday Reporting including dashboards and advanced reporting
Practical knowledge of Workday Security including domain set up and role assignments
What do you need to succeed?
Strong configuration knowledge and experience of Workday, specifically Talent Development and Talent Management modules along with practical knowledge to configure, customize, build scalable solutions, and facilitate system maintenance in these modules
Experience supporting HR-related tasks, processes, and services; knowledge of standard development stages and agile practices is an asset
Customer focused with strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and high-quality work; able to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information
Curious and creative thinker with an innovative, growth mindset in approaching complex problems
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec
What’s in it for you?
A comprehensive total rewards package including competitive salary and bonus structures; pension, stock, and savings programs; and flexible benefits plans to meet the needs of you and your family
Being a member of one of the most dedicated and respected Workday technical teams working at the forefront of HR Technology
We offer a ‘flexible’ work environment. This means employees will not be required to work from the office any minimum or maximum number of days. Instead, by using Client and business needs as a guide, employees will choose where they work at any given time based on the activities they need to complete
Take charge of your career path and work with your leader and team to continuously develop your skills and competencies – we want you to love what you do
