Location : Chaplin YMCA with Hybrid Work arrangement and regular in-person presence required (Guelph Wellington, Waterloo Region and Stratford-Perth)

So, what will you do?
Our Marketing and Communications Manager is a brand-level marketing expert who can deliver exceptional communications and marketing plans for issues and topics that span our whole Y.
They will lead our Y to new spaces, shining a light on the life-changing programs and services and telling the Y story proudly.
Our new teammate will be the lead for public relations, including any crisis communications and media relations. This role will provide both direct and indirect leadership to other communicators, creators and marketers in our Y and has financial responsibility for a budget.
Do you have what it takes?
Ideally, you've completed your post-secondary studies with strong experience in communications, design and marketing. You have 6-8 years of progressive experience in marketing and communications roles with demonstrated experience in brand-level marketing strategy and public relations.
You are an experienced people-leader, with an extensive awareness of marketing and design tools. You're skilled in all forms of communication, problem solving, planning, change management and the creative process.
Experience in the non-profit sector is an advantage, but not a requirement.
This work is dynamic so you will need to be flexible and adept at managing emerging priorities. Your working hours will be a full 37.
5 hours weekly, with flexibility Monday to Friday to adjust your start / end times on days where you will be providing occasional evenings, weekends and on-call requirements to meet business and project deadlines.
This role requires regular travel across the region, which may not always be easily accessible through public transit. The employee must be able to arrange their own transportation to these sites.
A valid G driver's license and full time vehicle access are strongly recommended.
