In this role you will be an integral part of this firm’s success in the utilization of digital design platforms on many projects types and across multiple project sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The BIM Coordinator will focus on the efficient and effective implementation of digital tools that support the design processes across the company.
This role can be either at a junior or intermediate / advanced level for someone with a passion for BIM, good technical knowledge and some experience working with BIM tools.
Ideally you will have a solid grasp on BIM related items such as creating standards, templates, Revit families, models as well as able to share that knowledge with others, mentoring staff with BIM related tools and corroborating the information into concise and easy to ready technical documents.
This role has the potential to progress relatively quickly into a BIM Lead and further into a BIM Manager role. You will direct and assist in managing the processes and integrations of digital elements with a number of different systems.
You will also be involved in creating libraries, integrated systems and ensuring technology and standards are up to date, staying in touch with updates whilst also maintaining this firm's "unicorn" document with their current BIM processes.
Hands on work on projects and working with technical documents, working drawing packages and blueprints will also be a part of this role, ensuring smooth application of BIM processes throughout projects in the firm.
Collaboration, communication and support are some of the key elements that this position needs as its is a hands-on and dynamic position managing quality assurance with modelling.
You will have plenty of support from others in the team and senior staff to bring you up to speed where needed.
WHAT'S REQUIRED
- This candidate will have the following aspects;
- Relevant Education - B.Arch, Tech, Diploma in Technology, Master's in Architecture or other related Degree
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a BIM related role or as an Architectural technologist involved in some BIM work
- Good research skills
- Excellent experience with Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo and other software applications are an asset
- Capable of producing detailed working drawing packages and documents if needed
- Interest and passion for new technologies and software systems and ability to guide a digital proactive group through the new systems from beginning to end
- Capable or interested in becoming proficient in working with and producing libraries, templates, standards and manuals
- A detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong technical skills and a good ideal for detail
- High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and digital technology
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to work with others and share knowledge in a collaborative way
