Job Summary :
Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Brake Actuation Design and Release Engineer - PSP. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do :
The Brake Actuation Design and Release Engineer will be responsible for leading design and development of brake actuation systems (booster / master cylinder / electric vacuum pump / vacuum hoses / eboost systems), coordination of program timing / design guidelines with supplier and packaging of brake actuation designs in the vehicle environment.
The candidate should possess the ability to root cause quality and build issues, then implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Communicate technical requirements to internal areas such as powertrain, electrical and vehicle development groups.
- Continuous quality.
- Cost reduction.
- Efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.
Basics :
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in the design and development of brake actuation related components.
- Basic knowledge of brake actuation related components.
- Must be familiar DFMEA / DVPR usage and the review of these documents.
- Strong oral and written communication skills Proficient at program planning and management.
- Hybrid position.
- Occasional trips to the US for meetings.
Preferred :
- Experience in structured problem-solving such as Shainin Red X / Design for Six Sigma; other strong problem resolution techniques accepted as well.
- Excel in a team environment.
