Civil Engineer, Municipal

Randstad is excited to partner with one of our clients in their search for a talented Municipal Engineer, who will have experience working within a wide range of Municipal Infrastructure projects in Ontario.

This position will have the opportunity to work directly with municipaliites and key stakeholders and provide the opportunity for growth and development in your career.

This position requires someone who has their P.Eng license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of the technical milestones and phases of the project
• Manage the budgets and deadlines for the project
• Design of public sector municipal servicing projects
• Design and project execution for municipal infrastructure projects including : watermain, sewers, retaining

walls, pumping stations, road design

• Review design drawings
• Manage the development of contract specifications and documentation;
• Review and analyze project schedules for activities
• Provide input to the preparation of proposals, project cost estimates, and budgets in collaboration with the

Senior Management

• Liaise with the various municipal / utility / approval agencies
• Author feasibility studies and technical engineering reports;

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of Civil Engineering or Municipal experience
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
• Experience working as a Design Engineer
• Knowledge and application of Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications
• Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes
• Experience with watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, forcemain, grading plans and drainage design

projects

Consideried an asset but not required :

• Trenchless infrastructure design
• Project Management experience on municipal and / or private sector projects
• Knowledge and experience with Contract Administration and / or Pumping Station Design
