Description
Fortinet is looking for a skilled UX Designer to join the product development team at our Burnaby R&D site. In this position your primary responsibility will be to test, review and work with technical stakeholders to continually improve the user experience of Forticlient and Forticlient Enterprise Management Server (EMS) product family, focusing on usability, consistency, intuitiveness and aesthetics.
You will be working in a role integrated with the development team, reviewing and proposing design changes as part of the day to day workflow.
Job Responsibilities :
- Review and improve existing product UX design
- Create new UX designs for new features and projects
- Create written and visual documents for UX designs and design changes
- Collaborate with team members from many disciplines (ex. project management, design, development)
- Maintain an understanding in multiple technical areas and a knowledge of latest technology and design techniques.
- Understand customer needs and reflects those needs in design work.
Qualifications :
- 3 years of UX design experience
- Creative, analytical, and curious in resolving complex UX issues
- Interest & experience with Computer Networks & Cyber Security
- Experience with modern design & prototyping software (ex. Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch)
- Familiar with front-end programming
- Excellent communications skills with technical staff
- Able to simplify and communicate complex ideas to a broad audience
- Previous experience with conflict resolution
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in related field (computer science, human-computer interaction (HCI), communication arts, Multimedia Designs, UI / UX Certification etc.)
