MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a UX / UI Designer for a 6 month contract role at one of our clients based in Vancouver
Responsibilities :
- Support the brand and digital team with UI / libraries / design system related projects, connecting the ecommerce digital team and the brand team to build a unique, user-centred design system, making sure that usability, accessibility and sustainability principles are taken in account too
- Championing innovative ideas and continuous improvement opportunities by identifying points of friction and providing solutions, to optimize the existing user experience and user interface
- Making strategic design, user experience and user interface decisions together with the brand team, sometimes collaborating with other UI designers and agencies Requirements :
- 4+ years as a UXUI Designer, Digital Product Designer, or similar UXUI-related role
- A current portfolio demonstrating UXUI principles, processes, and core skills across a breadth of capabilities including research, prototyping, and visual communication
- Proficient in using Figma
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Strong collaborator who is able to communicate effectively across multiple business areas and technical levels
- Proactive self-starter that can work effectively independently
- Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- Inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus
