This company is seeking an exceptional Splunk Data Scientist / API Developer to join our dynamic organization. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in data science and API management to drive innovation and enhance analytical capabilities across our cyber security and observability domains.

Responsibilities :

Lead the creation and implementation of advanced AI and machine learning models that enhance Splunk’s core functionalities in cybersecurity and observability.

Ensure these models are both robust and efficient, adapting to new data and evolving threats.

Design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance APIs that integrate seamlessly with Splunk’s platforms and services.

Focus on creating scalable and maintainable solutions that support large-scale deployments.

Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into effective technical specifications and solutions.

Drive the alignment of project objectives with business goals through strategic planning and resource allocation.

  • Utilize your expertise in API orchestration to enhance system integration and workflow automation.
  • Implement an API-first design philosophy to improve the developer experience, focusing on ease of use, comprehensive documentation, and robust integration capabilities.

Ensure that all APIs facilitate a seamless and efficient development process for both internal and external users.

Desired Skills :

  • Expertise in designing and implementing a variety of API styles including RESTful, SOAP, and GraphQL. Ability to build APIs that are not only functional but also intuitive and developer-friendly.
  • Strong background in software development across multiple platforms and languages, with particular emphasis on front-end technologies and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Familiarity with API development frameworks and tools such as Swagger UI, Redoc, and Postman for designing, testing, and documenting APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling to support Splunk's analytical capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
